Whither Carenado?

Wonder what they’re working on at the moment? They’ve been rather quiet of late!

Have they got anything in the pipeline currently, or are they heads down in MSFS2024 (which I imagine they’re helping out with)

In our last conversation with Carenado they informed us that it was their intention to bring all the FSX content into MSFS 2020.
We’re looking forward to their version of the Tomahawk and especially the Tri Pacer.

If true, I’d love to see their S340! Regional turboprop? Count me in!

I want the Aero Commander. That was all I flew in Xplane 11.

Carenado Support, Jul 6, 2023, 17:26 GMT-4:Greetings,

They are part of our plan, however, we don’t have an estimated time yet.
We suggest to stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates and news.

Regards,

Carenado.

I would imagine there being a reluctance to press ahead with projects for MSFS until they know more about MSFS2024 portability.

I assume that as the closest third party to the core Asobo team (who seemingly always had the jump on parts of the SDK that were missing early on) they are also probably going to be one of the first, if not the first, to ensure all of their addons are 2024 compatible. That’s not to say I don’t agree with your assumption. I haven’t proven it with data yet, but I feel there’s been a slump of addons ever since 2024 was announced.

I sure hope they finally fix all their broken Hobbs/Hours Meters.

Tri Pacer and Cardinal and Mentor, oh my!
Many happy hours in all three plus a number of their twins.

Would love to see their Aztec as well as the Fokker 50 and Falcon 50 “soon”, but we’ll see.

Would love a Cardinal RG, one of the few good looking high wing Cessnas.

I saw Bob Hoover fly an airshow back in the early 80’s, but I can’t remember… I think it was a Shrike??? Is that what you had in XPlane 11?

As we already know that there are third-party devs working on default planes for MSFS 2024, I wouldn’t be surprised if Carenado is one of them

They might also be working on a local legend or something like that.

Did ages in the Archer II today, just circuits. She flies sooo well, I love her!

Heh every time I fly the Archer II I end up doing circuits. I can’t put my finger why it is just so easy to figure out where you are to turn base and descending off throttle seems so ■■■■ accurate. Makes me happy to look at that wingtip and tip the ailerons. This aircraft just loves to land.

Yes, there were variations of the Aero Commander over the years, I saw Bob Hoover a couple times in the early '90’s. Also my local airport at the time where I started taking lessons had an Aero Commander on the ramp. I flew an R/C model of one too.
