where is that on?
great, well done geoff. let’s get adding the old timers on there
Just live in the hope that Asobo read this thread and that a light bulb above their collective head illuminates. MSFS is like a monastery as it stands. The opportunities for loosely organised sessions, ATC on the hoof and some real use for the massive World that is on offer is there for the taking.
FS 3.0 and ATP were my first PC based sims, though many earlier sims ran from cassette tape on the Amstrad CPC 464, Sinclair ZX 80 and others. It is astonishing to think that we have moved so far forward amd yet so far backwards.
Come on Asosbo. You can do it! (And while you are at it, can we have working radio comms please?)
Skipped X too ! never flew on Gaming Zone… I did not fly on my PC for more than 30 years.
My first sim was the Microsoft FS (2? 3?) on Hercules graphics monochrome, 1984-1988, on 8088 Taiwanese clone. Because it did not run good I bought a 286 and later an 386 S3 PC. The S3 could run the FS very smoothly in 1987.
Favorite flight was landing the sail plane on the Nimitz. Start out ridge soaring (that worked) to make some height, then fly to the Nimitz carrier and land. Actually it would be nice to have an aircraft carrier in this game. Wish I’d kept a screen print… see below the 650x350 version on EGA, i found that one on Nerdy Pleasures blogspot.

" I remember Delta_Yankee, he was a bit of an idiot."
