Who is looking forward to MSFS 2024?

The trailer was great, I know its going to be polished for PR release, but it still shows how much the sim as come along since 2020.

Increased world fidelity, multi-threading, lower required system specs, thin client, along with backwards compatibility with current add-ons. Sign me up!

While I will certainly still be doing random flights as I try and learn more about aviation and make it as real as it gets. I am looking forward to the specific missions that will be included.

Thanks Asobo and Microsoft for a great product and I’m looking forward to the sequel.

P.S. If you want to complain about the sim, please choose one of the many other threads or as a last resort start yet another.

I’m looking forward to it. I’m a little concerned that the “thin client” means more reliance on server and online connection quality, which I feel is lacking in the current version. I’m hopeful that portion of the equation will also be improved.

Looking forward to it, with some apprehension but also hope.

Hard to say at this time. I’m currently running a i9-10900F CPU @ 2.80GHz 16GB of RAM and a Nvidia 2080 Super. I only fly VR so with the assumed graphics updates, it’s concerning if my system will handle it in VR with decent FR. Until it’s actually hear and I can try it, it’s all up in the air right now.

We really need more information about what is in the bag first. Details are very thin on the ground regarding upgrades over 2020. The RP thrown into 2024 doesn’t interest me a great deal. The only reason I would buy it is if it fixes some of the issues in 2020.

I am. I love new tech, and from what I can see it’s only going to get better.

Ditto. I am very happy with MSFS2020, so I expect MSFS2024 will be even better. There are niggling little bugs and oversights in MSFS2020, but I can live with most of them. I’m hopeful that many of them will be resolved in the new version, but I’m not going to throw my toys out of the pram if they aren’t all dealt with. Overall, I expect the new version will be an improvement and I’ll be in on day one.

Absolutely but they better not turn it into a game. The realism, ground handling, systems depth, and so much more needs to be improved but I’m being hopeful for right now. Time will tell but either way, I will definitely be getting 2024 and will be looking forward to the release.

I’m looking forward MSFS 2024 and, at the same time, I’m satisfied with MSFS 2020, even if not at all is perfect. In short, I enjoy what I have today and I have great expectation for the future, from Microsoft / Asobo and from the Flight Sim community.

Looking forward to it of course but just trying to not even look at any info about it tbh. When it gets here it gets here. Just going to enjoy the current sim now

Hell yes, I can’t figure out for the life of me why anyone wouldn’t be. It means our hobby is very much alive and kicking.

There is so little info on 2024, I don’t know if I’m excited or not.

I’m excited, once the pre orders come out I will buy it, but about the comments of “There not being too much info”, is because they want to keep everything a surprise maybe later on the year, they are going to give us actual more details about the sim, if you think about, they did the same thing with MSFS2020.

Because it means they will abandon the current sim and I’m not sure I’ll have money free to buy the new version.

I’m looking forward for new challenges and hopefully new aircraft, i hope they include a bunch of regional airlines in the default fleet and some older non computerized jetliners to balance out the modern ones

A study level “Diesel 10” along with shared cockpit so you and a couple of friends could actually work together to fly it…

I mainly explore parts of the world which I will never get the opportunity to visit. This new simulator will have trees specific to the area, migrating animals, better handling of ground textures. It will be able to give each area of the world its own personality. That is a context we don’t have in the current simulator. So yes, I am looking forward to exploration becoming more authentic.

Me!! The 2024 trailer is what pulled me into flight simming and wanting to already try 2020 while waiting for 2024. But 2024 will be much more up my alley, with career mode and missions to do, and even prettier scenery.

The scenery is mostly the same MSFs and 2024 wise…don’t see how it’s gunna be “prettie” unless you don’t use freeware/Payware scenery
