@Pilot1811
Thanks for sharing.
BTW. I am still enjoying FS2020r2 today. The forum has gone very quiet so I assume a lot of the user who were repeatedly complaining have managed to fix their PC problems and are now away enjoying the sim.

Our perhaps like me, you’ve muted them all!
Having a great time with this sim. XP had been around for how many years and I eventually gave up on it just getting it to work. Since MSFS2020 I have had very limited issues with install and crashes, much less issues than XP. As for the bugs, MS and Asobo will get them resolved and with the world updates and third party devs, it is a great time to be a flight simmer!
I am enjoying MSFS, Love it !. A few flaws here and that will eventually be fixed.
But, what I am doing is keeping my MSFS clean of ALL external ADDONS until I am convinced that most of the operational errors have been fixed and the only thing left is enhancements.
I do not want to, possibly, alter the operation of my MSFS with all these free, payware and commercial addons that may adversely affect the proper operation of the sim.
I would bet that the official MSFS testers ( Not us Alpha/Beta Testers ) are restricted from ANY and ALL addons until such time all the major/minor flaws of the base sim has been corrected. I would not want anyone testing my software products if they insist on including their addons while testing.
I absolutely love MSFS (2020) glitches and all. I’ve been flying Flight Simulator since the early 90s and I’m not troubled at all by glitches or bugs, because I know they exist in everything in the world. I used to be a USAF crew chief on KC-135 aircraft and loved working with that system bugs and all! A perfect system, a glitchless system…yes even Flight Simulator would be BORING!!! I think it’s human nature to work out the kinks in problems, figuring things out to make it run, like fixing up an old broken car, airplane or computer software! that’s where the fun is!
I know the developers are working hard to fix the issues and that’s what counts. The bugs will get ironed out eventually, what we have here is a good foundation for Flight Simulation.
Positively speaking, I’m very happy to be flying with great visuals set on high for a mid-range system that I have. I don’t care about 60 frames per second, I’m not a FPS junkie. 30 FPS is perfectly fine for me. I love flying VFR mostly, nap of the earth stuff! as I think flying airliners on autopilot is a wholly boring.
When I used to fly for real, I trained in small aircraft on unpaved strips in Kentucky and West Virginia, so I love flying tree-top level around that kind of scenery and around mountains. I’m very excited to fly MSFS again that I purchased a yoke/throttle and pedal system (though it’s on backorder). Anyway, long story short, I am VERY pleased to fly with MSFS again!
EFKX. Very nice. Start with the ICON A5 (Clear Weather)
Hazy mountains, cloud shadows, peachy custom paintjob (thanks whoever did this…) What’s not to love? I’ve been places I will never go. This is awesome!
Livery is nice.
Good pice of kit , yes work in progress, several missing places but each update fills gaps , i find wifi no good , have to run on ethernet, a huge learning game for developers and players .
Bye bye fsx just msfs and xp for me
WLAN is a good point. Forget it, mistake number one
I’ve seen some posts where people said they’re blocking others. I hope they’ve kept their word.

Good thread. Wow, already about 350 users confirming they are satisfied with FS202.
That’s really difficult to understand considering there some posters in other threads claiming they speak for all gamers and simmers and claiming the simmers are not happy. This thread for example:
The tread is worth reading. But don’t contradict, might be called a troll.

I’ve never had install/reinstall/CTD problems at all and have no frame rate issues.
-
I’m constantly in bewildered awe whenever I fly VFR. The sim is visually astounding
. -
Whenever I try to fly IFR or with ATC I feel like I want to pull my hair out because of the bugs
. And I don’t fly the big iron so I’ve never experienced the worst of the very buggy ATC/Navigation Systems implementation.
I don’t know if this answers your question, I guess I’m somewhat of a happy camper.
BUT. I’m also one of those who think that MS should have been candid and said “here, take this open beta or early release game” and they would have avoided most of the storm of fecal matter going on in the forums these days.
I guess what I’m trying to say is the sim works quite well for me, and it has such a wide scope that I could be happily flying VFR for months before getting tired. But it’s not like I’m not seeing that most of the bugs that we are encountering were very evident from the beginning and should have been dealt with before release.
Exactly this. I enjoy the sim, every part of it. It has some bugs indeed and an ‘early access’ stamp on it would have avoided all the backlash.
Well they are releasing updates so I got good hopes for this to become a wonderful platform for everyone to enjoy. And it would be even better that it sets a new standard for flight sims so that competitors also up their game.
Nice post. At least you are satisfied and enjoying the sim. The bugs you are seeing are of course being seen by all of us. I don’t think any user on the forum has claimed they are not there, despite some saying otherwise. I personally am sure they will be fixed and the sim will have a great future.
Now with the patches and joystick adjustments (sensitivity to correct) trying little by little, I have managed to enjoy many flights without problems. Congratulations to the Asobo team.
It’s not an easy task build a simulator like this today.
And I’m glad they tried.
MsFS is just two months old, bugs and aviation issues will be resolved in the next couple of patches, so i’m not worried.
This is clearly a next gen concept that need some times to perfect the formula.
I’m satisfied yet? Nope.
But I surely will in a months or two
At first i was used to FSX, no prolems everything goes perfect with different planes etc…like everyone i was waiting for a superb simulator from microsoft but was a bit scared of the contents. no its not perfect yet because this is a new one and its normal to having some issues. but i can tell you it is very AMAZING what theyv done. superb simiulator. recommend to all my friends.
There are some bugs that can be rather annoying, but this is a very complex simulator. It will probably take months to achieve a generally stable program. I think there are enough planes that do a good job for me, and I am extremely pleased with the scenery. Thanks for soliciting positive feedback. Unfortunately, it’s a bit in short supply in these forums.
