I am sometimes struggling with performance of airliners at 3rd party airports, but somehow reluctant to reduce my Terrain LOD below 100. I don’t know why, some psychological barrier I guess
Will I notice a big difference in going below LOD 100?
My objects LOD is also at 100.

100 is not some magical number, just give it a try and see how it is. It’s not what everybody else thinks, but your own experience that matters.
Happy flying.
We can’t say what you will or won’t notice, and the only way to know for sure is to try, then let us know whether you did or not.
Well first flight at TLOD at 75 I didn’t notice much difference. But was wondering if anybody else could share their experiences.
That I could try it myself was such an obvious thing I didn’t think I would need to post that.
Biggest difference is when close to photogrammetry, but as you said “airliners” I guess that’s less important to you.
For general terrain draw distance it makes more impact in 4K I think because you can see sharper objects further away, so if they aren’t there then you would notice it more.
At the end of the day it’s what you are happier with though. I used to run 45 or less on my old system and was happy enough
