Why are some bug reports ignored?

I personally believe that every other Sim Update should focus solely on fixing long-standing bugs, regressions & issues especially those that are nigh on two years old now. The more features they add the more gets broken and it becomes a cycle of rinse & repeat, only that now I’m seeing more features released that need future fixes themselves which is adding to the overall workload.

Of course new features are needed to progress the title, preferably though they are released when fully ready after long beta periods and not added into the Sim with multiple issues themselves (see METAR integration in SU7 as a prime example of this).

I don’t want to hear “it’s a ten year plan” when factoring in historic bugs, I would like to see progress made much sooner and not have to wait X years for simple bugs to be squished. Priorities need to change, progress doesn’t just come from new features it comes from the overall stability of the program itself.

Some of the fixes MUST be quick and easy, yet they linger on for way too long. Some are just UI tweaks to fix something that worked fine prior to an update. Regression bugs are so frustrating… hey, it was working, the code was in place and working well. They should get priority else we take 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

There seems to be no priority at all for regression bugs. We need a strong commitment that, moving forward, regression bugs will be a high priority and will be focused onright after an update. A hotfix would be justifiable for this after every update; they should just have it in the plan.

Create a small team to handle small "Quality Of Life" items, the low-hanging fruit

The idea would be for the Developers to triage the Wishlist to identify small, low effort, easy to implement “Quality Of Life” items. With the Developers identifying ones that they feel are “low-hanging fruit”, and pass them on to a small team of Programmers to focus on and handle. Perhaps a small QOL Team of maybe 3 to 5? The QOL Team would focus on these, versus the heavies that we all know and love (CTD, VR, Weather, Traffic, ATC, Flight Model, Aerodynamics, Marketplace, WASM, DX12, Physic…
