Why cant you calibrate?

Is there a way to calibrate your controls? I cant make any left turns because my controls cant be calibrated like in X Plane. Still flying X Plane because of this specific problem.

You can typically calibrate your controls in the Windows controller settings. Or if your controller(s) have software, you can calibrate in there. MSFS will just read the calibration from there.

Maybe you are looking for this ?

  • Check Options - Controls
  • Select your Joystick / Yoke / Rudder / whatever
  • Click Sensitivity

Calibration is a separate thing from sensitivity adjustment. It’s what defines the range of motion of your controllers. Many games like XP will allow you to calibrate your controllers in game. That option doesn’t exist in MSFS and would be redundant since you can calibrate in Windows.

Yes, with X-Plane you can calibrate in the program, and I seem to remember FSX had a link to jump to the calibration dialog in Windows.

I am surprised that Asobo has opted for neither of these, but leaves many newcomers floundering like this. There is currently another thread on the same topic, which shows it is a common problem.

Yea the windows option doesn’t even have it anymore for some reason. How can they mess up something so basic? Who’s fault is that?

Windows no longer has the option either.

Still no option to calibrate

Windows does have that option. Hit your Windows button and start typing Game Controllers.

Seems this is the correct route. The problem was fixed with this way.
