Which aircraft are you talking about? The default A320 has 2 wing views from the interior that can easily be accessed by pressing the Switch to Drone Cam button, then switch to the Cockpit/exterior button which if done on the Drone Camera will switch into Fixed camera mode, then use the previous fixed camera button to give you the wing view.
Once that’s setup in your flight. Pressing the Switch to Drone Cam button will instantly bring you back to the cockpit. And everytime you press it, you will go back and forth between Cockpit view and wing view.
This is a video of me doing the camera mode switches as I explained above. And if you look at 15:47 mark, you’ll notice that my camera switches instantly from exterior view straight to wing view, by pressing the same “Toggle Drone Cam” button. If you continue on to look at 18:22 as I do my flight control checks. I also press the “Toggle Drone Cam” button while in the cockpit to instantly bring me to the wing view to look at the ailerons and spoilers and flaps. Once I’m done, I press it again to bring me back to the cockpit.
I never had to do any camera.cfg editing. But to be fair, it is FBW A32NX mod, and they’ve added the extra wing-views as part of the mod on top of the default Asobo wing views with the interior windows. But I never need to do camera.cfg editing myself.
But other aircraft might not have the same wing view.
