Yeah, if that’s upheld, it is going to have heavy, long-term implications on backcountry flying, and if nothing else, you’re going to see a lot fewer YouTube videos of people doing it.
And if you think about it, if applied broadly, it could affect flight training or the practice approaches we spoke of above, considering sometimes we don’t intend to land (or do a low approach, or a go around well below 500’).
