I havent seen any of this myself but considering all the different aspects of the Sim, I imagine that it makes kinda sense that different people work on different parts of it. This means that under development there are lots of different versions around.
At some point a common single version may have to be assembled as an update. This is a tricky process that, although strictly and carefully controlled can introduce errors not foreseen. The most common under those conditions would be the re-emergenge of bugs that were previously fixed.
but as I said, thus far, touch wood, all updates have always made things better for me.
but then I dont use add ons and dont frig with any control or config files so I tend to use the Sim, except for some extra liveries very much as presented.
