I find the ingame store is very usefuel for buying and updating addons. Why do I need to install in an conventional way via simmarket? So many products not listed in ingame store. Very sad. This is much better then a conventional installation.
Because the developer that sells on simmarket chose to not deliver thei products through the FSstore.
Yes. But the big questions is why.
I guess there is a lot of administration effort.. Don’t know exactely, but maybe things like
- need a developer account
- need to get the product reviewed
- update procedures
- …
… a regular company registered 
Very sad.
Ingame store and ORBX store are the best of all addon distribution possibilities.
The following is something that may have happened with Flight Sim World by Dovetail Games:
DTG couldnt get third party developers on board due to fees paid to multiple parties, DTG wanted 30% to allow third party DLC to be allowed into the game, at the same time they were going to rely on Steam to list and sell those addons, Steam wanted another 30% on top of what was going to DTG.
This being said, I do not know what kind of fees Asobo/MS are asking for but its likely the developers on simmarket get more money returned to them for each sale than what they might have if they go through the in game market.
If its not fees, it could be rules the third party developers have to play by to get their products into the in game market and the rules could be draconian for all we know.
Sim Market is full of suspiciously low quality stuff too.
