I feel the same. Different problems, same end result. I really regret buying 2024.
It may be time to go back to 2020 and let 24 Cook for a few more months

I have done a lot of research on the 787 2020 versus 2024 versions and filed a detailed bug report showing the positives and negatives including the clarity of instruments. Please chime in as appropriate:
This is a strange behavior.
I’m sitting on the runway, brakes set, idle power, and I change the camera view to outside.
Result: I’m at over 1000’ AGL flying!
I’ve seen videos comparing both side by side and i think 2020 looks better generally like your picture
Has anyone heard anything about this issue? Any mitigating ideas?
I really want to do some tour-type articles, and since the visuals are supposed to be “so much better!” in 2024, I’d like to use that. Except that in 2024 it looks like either I haven’t cleaned my glasses in ages, or my advanced age is causing my vision to become blurry.
BTW, regarding aircraft, every aircraft I’ve flown in 2024 is a “stock” aircraft that came with the sim - that is, no additions or 3rd party aircraft have been installed aside from whatever 3rd party aircraft are included in the sooper-deluxe-version by default. (Default of whomever packaged it!)
Thanks!
Update:
I have some pictures taken at Vnukovo (UUWW) using both the Diamond DV-20 and the Edgely Optica, within both 2020 and 2024.
Conditions are:
Pictures taken in MSFS-2020:
DV-20:
(2020 on left, 2024 on right)
Optica:
(2020 on left, 2024 on right)
The Optica isn’t as bad as the DV-20, but you can see that the scenery is less distinct in 2024. The DV-20 is hideous.
Note: The DV-20 is an “Asobo” aircraft and the Optica is a Got Friends aircraft in 2024
Update:
Graphical settings, particularly terrain, increased from 100 to 200 and the terrain level of detail, (?) was changed from “medium” to “high” which seems to have made little difference, but they’re still washed-out compared to 2020.
2024 using the DV-20
(Before enhancing video on left, enhanced video on right)
It’s also interesting to compare the appearance of the cockpit glass between the two aircraft under the same conditions:
(DV-20 on left, Optica on right)
It’s interesting to note two things:
It would be nice if there was a global “contrast” setting. (And maybe a setting for gamma correction too, as the mid-tone details seem to be washed out in 2024.)
