A miracle just happened I just got to see an aircraft on the runway after clicking fly now. Virgin Media UK.

How long did it take to load?

I cant start a flight in the UK, but using US VPN I was able to get in the air.
I raised a ticket with the devs on day 1, they replied to say they are collecting ISPs and locations. I am guessing it’s affecting virgin media from the comments above.
Not tried it this morning though

Day 3 and also I still can’t load the sim (UK-Virgin Media). Tried for over 15 hours over three days with 10+ restarts all stop and 97% never reached UI yet. Come on this is beyond a joke. I’m a developer and can’t officially support my products until I can test them although I’m being told my products somewhat work. It’s crazy AND AFFECTING MY BUSINESS as customers
migrate to a sim I still cant blinking load

It looks like all the planes are there at least now. Still telling me I have low bandwidth and it’s still stuck in the air. I’m on the M350 package with Virgin Media which I know isn’t the best so maybe that’s a factor.

But progress I guess.

Tried again this morning (UK - Talk Talk 70mb connection on Xbox series X) and I’ve got all the planes now but still can’t do anything

Is anyone having issues with licensing or data syncing? I’m looking for help…

the screen is in Italian

3-4 minutes, graphically it’s pants though, you can see that it potentially has more details, but lots of shimmering, blurryness, pop in, objects not loading in.

It’s a mess.

But progress for me, I really hope we can store some things locally soon like aircraft and world update.

Edit/ tried another flight in same area and took 15seconds to load in.

Im still in the UK-Virgin Media 97 club, how do I upgrade to 98 ?

Apparently the upgrade requires a VPN from what I’m reading here. Oh but wait 2020 don’t need VPN!!!

Loaded in today after deciding to not bother for the first 48 hours.

Loading in was painfully slow. When it did load, it loaded with potato textures and notified me of ā€œlow bandwidthā€.

12900K, 32GB RAM, 3080 Ti, Samsung 980 Pro SSD, >100MBit internet.

There’s no reason for it to be this slow except for MS/Asobo having not resolved the issues, so all the updates claiming to have ā€œresolvedā€ issues are bull.

People forget how fast you did a job, but they will always remember how well you did it.

We can wait till space-x lands on mars and we can bounce a signal from there !

UK based with Zen FTTP 900. I can get into the sim but have only managed to launch 1 or 2 flights over the last 3 days 99% of the time im stuck on the world map.

To add insult to injury I managed to delete all FS2020 data by resetting the wrong program :frowning:

It’s not just Virgin Media, we’re with EE and I also haven’t been able to load in at all since launch - was initially getting stuck at 97%, now it gets stuck at Customizing Identity. Really disappointing.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s just Virgin. I’m BT/EE and it worked eventually late last night with a VPN to the Netherlands.
However, the experience was fairly awful. Textures straight out of FS95. What was really, really poor were the cockpit textures going in and out.
They’ve got to at least let us have the planes on our PC’s or Xbox…

Nord VPN worked with my Virgin router and 380 megabit connection.

I chose West coast US and it worked perfectly. Enough to download and install the essentials.

2024 now boots up without the VPN. Haven’t tried a flight yet, but it did sense my Thrustmaster Airbus stick as soon as I plugged it in.

Its slower than 2020 to boot. I watched and there are minor bursts on the network. I’m sure my Xeon quad core is the bottleneck, GPU is 1080TI.

The 5700X3D looks good…I’m waiting to see feedback of mid-priced pc configs that work well.

SKY 150Gig broadband here. Finally got the sim started. First thing I was asked to do- restart. Now frozen on quit to desktop screen.

(1GB VM) Don’t think its ISP based but EU issue. VPN anywhere outside EU and I can actually load a flight today looks like a bit ā– ā– ā– ā–  but it works.
VPN in EU get the spinning circle and actually got a message saying bandwidth to low.

Yep all this VM talk is just coincidence, complete rubbish, it’s the ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  servers and thats it. I just did 2 flights, i’m on VM in the UK.
Graphically its not good in areas, pop in, blurry, textures slow to load in, low bandwidth messages, it all comes down to the servers.

Guys, this has nothing to do with who your ISP is. The problems we’re experiencing are location based. It’s our location in relation to the MSFS servers. It could be that there is a server overload in the U.K. that is stronger than in the US. I’m with Heybroadband, got 1.1GBPs wired connected to my Xbox and still struggling to start a flight.
