Large companies like Microsoft will face few repercussions for refusing to issue a refund when legally required to. The only way to enforce this is to either try one of the methods I mentioned, or to issue a legal notice and proceedings. For the amount paid probably isn’t worth the latter.
If people really want a refund, I would write a strongly worded email/ticket to Microsoft reminding them of UK law and that you believe you are entitled to a refund, explaining that the game is not fit for purpose in it’s current state. If they refuse a refund, then issue a chargeback or section 75 request to the bank/credit card company. If this fails the only way Im afraid is legal action.
This aside, Im hoping the issues are soon resolved, since the small amount of the sim I’ve seen so far seems impressive.
today i have been able to to fly here in the UK, crashed a few times and texture often not loading in at all, plus I can’t create my character as it crashes if go in that section. Also when I click on free flight the world map doesn’t show the weather, and when I do fly there is this red man with a banner saying ERROR sticking out of my flight…it’s so broken!!!
I am actually in Canada and able to use VPN and every other method to try and get this running on my PC. PC always looks better and usually plays very well but I can’t get the game to load the world data or the 50GB required.
I will fire up the XBOX X and try some flying again today but I prefer PC. The game says it is syncing between XBOX X and PC but as I said my PC will not even load past 60% now.
50hrs have passed since the games release in the UK.
50 ■■■■■■■ HOURS I HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN ABLE TO LOAD INTO A PLANE LET ALONE FLY AROUND.
£130 I HAVE SPENT. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. I DO NOT CARE IF PEOPLE THINK I AM BEING RUDE OR WHATEVER, I HAVE SPENT MY HARD EARNED MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT WAS PROMISED TO US AND IT DOES NOT EVEN WORK…
Get a refund. Really. If not for your blood pressure, only that maybe maybe someone someday will look at the refund numbers and admit that something went titties up
If it is not sorted by some degree tomorrow evening, I will be issuing a refund or chargeback for a product that is not suitable to the general public. Microsoft should be ashamed for what they have released to us.
They knew exactly what they was releasing to us. Yet, some bright spark out there actually thought it would be a good idea to actually release it. Absolute idiots.
Right, I’m on my third evening of finishing work and trying to load this thing, and still stuck with the repeating bloody loading screen. Asobo/MS, this is embarrassing!
