Well… GOOD NEWS !
After todays update, I checked my GPU usage and how about this: 16-18 % with the SAME Menu, Absolutely NO CHANGES to my system. Go Figure ? What has changed ? NOTHING on my end EXCEPT this last update.
…
UPDATE: My GPU Usage reverted back to the 93-95% utilization after I installed the latest Nvidia driver (today) as a “Clean Install”… What the heck… So I rebooted. Same… So I went into the Nvidia control panel and set Max Frame Rate to 50. Restarted MSFS… Same… Rebooted, Started MSFS… Now my GPU utilization is back down in the 18-20% range… Go Figure… Only thing I can think of is that my Max Frame Rate was “somehow” set during or after the MSFS update I did today, then I did an Nvidia driver update and the Max Rate was reset by the update or something else to MAX…
I have no solid explanation, however, setting the Max Frame Rate to 50 and rebooting did lower my idle GPU usage back down to the 18-20% range when setting at a static menu.
… What can I say… MS/Asobo should have this under control when we are setting at a static menu and obviously they do not.
