Have you looked at the unreal weather mod? It just pulls metars from nearby weather stations and feeds them into the game’s weather engine. It works really well. It’s surprising that one guy with a few lines of javascript can do what MS haven’t yet been able to do, but until the game is fixed, the mod is a very good stopgap.
