In support of the new sim, here are some Experiences I have had already that to me really show that it has “the touch” and that something truly special has already been achieved and will only get better.
Feel free to add more experiences that you have had.
-Climbed out of a small airport near Calgary only to realize I had inadequate performance. Became trapped in hilly terrain and barely escaped without scraping the treeline.
-Was nearly blown over by a strong gust when not paying attention.
-Ran out of fuel and landed out in a field, like 1NM from the destination. So authentic and I completely empathized how this can happen too easily and how screwed I would have been without impeccable luck there.
-Lost control of a taildragger, after touchdown, because I underestimated the wind.
-Noticed an area of major industrial deforestation from the air and had to literally go read the propaganda of that government’s website to reassure myself it was okay.
-Did my first IFR flight because how it’s implemented actually made enough sense to use, including using Atc.
-Used the landing lights on my wings as ambient illumination of the cockpit during a night approach.
-Heard Atc scolding real life traffic for being thousands above their assigned altitude. Bug, but amusing.
-Observed the evening rolling in with a steadily deteriorating weather and gradual increase in wind and gusts as I flew north in the evening.
