Have any of you folks tried using the OXR Toolkit that has a thread on the General forum page? It provides some improvements in performance and image quality. Of course, more tweaks though!
Interesting. Suddenly, in G2 Reverb VR only and playing a bush flight, it seems like the cockpit camera position goes berserk. It is perfect one second, far left or right or forward or backward up or down the next. Is that what you call “bobbling”? I makes flight impossible.
I have only used my G2 with MSFS so I have never set, or know how to reset boundaries. I even still have the G2’s hand controllers still in the box. (I play using an XBox controller, mouse and keyboard)
Steam install? I ask as I accidentally verified my local files in Steam once and it resulted in a complete redownload for me.
Guys thank you for all of the replies and empathy.
Couple of things. After the reinstall, my graphic settings were reset. However even on the low setting (Of which I usually run high on everything) it still had issues. Tried new drivers for the 3090FE, but still no luck. I even dropped it all to LOW and the same thing happened.
Tried different aircraft and had the same effect. Even different airports.
Interesting sidenote. JohnnyDioxin, I am having similar experiences. If I let it sit for a little bit, the wobbles settle down then its just fine micro stutters.
I did download the OpenXR toolkit. I must say it definitely sharpens up the Q2 big time.
I guess this will have to do until SU9 comes out.
if anyone stumbles on a fix, please feel free to share.
Happy flying brothers and sisters.
Hey trgz, no sir it was a microsoft store purchase.
Msfs2020 would never ask you to reinstall 120gb unless you CFG file has changed. I received the same message today and all I needed to do was to correct the game path at the bottom of the cfg file from C: back to E:.
For some reason this happens occasionally, especially after an update.
Thanks Grape, I didn’t realize that. I will remember that should it happen again.
Since you game completely re-installed (So did mine yesterday) I think it was because i did not opt-Out of the public Beta.
have you gone back to your .exe file and done this? Im not sure even if we need to any more…

Also click the change high DPI Settings as well.
Yep, that’s what I meant
Now THAT’S funny - and not funny at the same time.

What MSAsobo should do is to write a simple app that would scan your hardware and software and create simple suggestions to make your experience better. It would see that you have a certain CPU, GPU, etc and make recommendations based on that. It’s clear that fellow sim pilots are the ones doing that right now, and I can’t count the number of times I’ve been helped with settings advice. What’s unfortunate about that though is that one guy helps and his hardware is ‘X’ and someone else reads that who’s hardware is ‘Y’, makes those changes verbatim, and suffers.
It’s simple - everyone should be given advice for critical settings based upon their own hardware and related software. Heck, MSAsobo could even provide a disclaimer that the settings they provide are a baseline and that you can tweak them further from there if you want. UGH!
