I miss them as well. But I made a separate pdf from the route description. Loaded the fpln in my gtn750 and of I went with bushtrips Scotland and South England. Took me plm 40min per trip… Love to hobby…

Very disapointed …
No Bushflights ??? I can Not Understand this??
I want to start from an airfield but most of all the flights ( sightseeing , flights, ) that are offered start in the air???
Hmm…
I will wait with this 2024 sim till flights from the ground like bush flights are offered…
Ok - progress I guess …
- dropped my 3rd party bush trips into the new community folder - they subsequently show up in Custom Content
- selected a bush trip - it loads ok
- the flight plan is loaded but obviously no leg descriptions that I can see
- Flew the 1st leg and received a “leg completed” message when I landed. Clicked Next
- The second leg loaded just fine.
So - all is good except for the leg descriptions . I haven’t finished a bush trip so I don’t know if I get an achievement - not that I care.
Going to try to copy over the “official” 2020 bush trips - hard to find of course.
Nope. You are not the only one.
And I request persistance in bushtrips, like… I want to start the leg from where I parked my airplane previously and of course not to mention at the exact state of the plane as I left while parking.
And the exact time you finished the leg.
The Iceland bush trip, it starts you out by taking off before sunrise. This plays a part in that leg because just as you clear the volcano, you get treated to the Oh Wow moment of that flight by having the sun come up. Its a spectacular sight. But, if you save the bush flight and start it from where you left off, it starts you at the time of the start of the bush trip, which is before sunrise. So you are flying in the dark for part of that next leg when you shouldn’t be.
I loaded the .pln file for the tasmania bush trip into the 2024 efb, sent to avionics and atc, and it worked fine in a da40 with g1000. The narrative is in the locpak files in various languages. You can load an approach fot next airport if you want to make sure you dont miss it.
I have a website with all the bush navlogs for use. If you find the .pln files in the official folder, you could the flight plan into the simulator and fly them using the my site for description information.
According to a community manager post they are being reworked and will be making a return at some time.
I would be very happy if it happened this year.
@Jummivana, can you say anything about when bush trips will be possible again?
Community Managers to my knowledge are not allowed to speak about such things until Devs first make a public statement, so I wouldn’t count on it.
Thank you so much for your post.
I was hesitating to order FS2024 or just keep playing FS2020, and you just solved my dilemma…
Bush trips are by far the best part in FS2020, and 80% of all I ever did in FS2020.
Not having them in FS2024 is an absolute no-go for me, so FS2020 it is.
I hope when official bush trips come to 2024 we can use ATC and select weather on ALL of them!
I was able to fly msfs2020 bushtrips via the external app BushTripManager with oral messages. I liked it.
I also read about successful recompile to msfs2024 via BushTripInjector. But they stopped (temp?) issuing new free product keys.
