Wideview Experiences?

Hi there @Airbumps2501thanks for the challenge to get you through setup cockpit and i may not know everything but at least it can be worth trying i quess.

I understand what you tell and also the frustration that the author of the program
Wideview and Widetraffic does not respond to you. That hurts for the money and for shure the result you get so far and for what it is worth i want to let you know that i have send him an email two days ago, and so far i had no reply from him either. (I feel your pain and that anoys me the sameway to).

Anyway back to setup for there is a lot to do and msfs is pretty stuborn.
About home cockpit, the reason i mentioned this is because you create a setup with
90° angles one in front 1 left and 1 right
In my approach this means without further use of device like (ir headtracking or tobii tracking)
You turn your head and look left or right, and although you are right with home cockpit activated you can not use the mouse to pan around but this also means you can not accidently sc,ew up your setup by unwillingly touch the mouse movement . So to prevent this that is why and still you can do this in at least two other ways nl 1 by xbox controller on pc and 2nd by using key combination shift+ar.rowkeys to pan or rotate around.
As far concearning the pov to look around i would prefer this to setup translate which is very handy
for setting up cockpit!!!
Why? think about this you can create a new profile to your devices called setup wideview.
So your device works diffferently than when you want it to fly the plane but instead you would simply make it a tool.

Now in dev mode you can setup on debug–>aircraft–>camera blend
This screen can give you lots of info of where on screen you are looking at and in specific guidnumber which you can find in plane specific camera file .
The info left downscreen in yellow you find numbers which refer to pbh and xyz these you can use to adapt initialpbh and initailxyz in camera.cfg of the airplane you are working on.

Now about the Roll rotation offset (or whatever this is called i dunno im not that technical)
On the server pc in wideview the configure section increase altitude ((by inch)–> important because msfs is measures in either ft or meters)) anyway here you can increase the number of how high the airplane is of the tarmac. I know its weird but increase the number and the runway starts to sink more , so it does some on height, i mean external height of the airplane.
This is helpfull since you try to allign your setup.
Change till you found the balance restart wideview server as often as you need to see height change
You can start extremely to see my meaning of this
Also this is why; in my former posts, i said zoom is important.

And remember this
Also you are sitting in a almost square box (90° screen setup) while you position yerself to the virtually left on screen whilst you in physics are in the center of your box so here it give false point off perspective. But your mind continue not aware of this phenomenna.

If you got stuck at some point dont hesitate i help where i can.

Take those blue skies
