I currently have an Xbox one and I also have a Lenovo laptop. I am trying to figure out the best way for me to play.
These are my laptop specs:
i7-8550u CPU @ 1.80GHZ
11.8Gb usable Ram
64 Bit
Windows 10
Think it is possible to play or am I going to have to buy a new device?

You didn’t mention GPU either.
Think your options are wait for new xbox or get a pc or laptop though personally I don’t think Majority of laptops are suitable for all out gaming.

Nevertheless, the game always crashes when I press Fly, it loads until shortly before the end and then without an error message on the desktop.

I’ve already tried everything that is here in the forum with crash.
The new XBOX consoles will be able to run it! It’s at $300-$500 if you really wanted to play it. No news on streaming services yet so its either XBOX console or upgrade to a PC.
Not sure if that’s necessarily a bad thing or a good thing for you(having a powerful PC is also good for production).
