Will I max out my GPU memory with an 8 GB 3070?

I have a 1080TI 12 gb mem. I would like to buy 3070.
during flight the 1080ti is almost 100% loaded with 8-10 gb memory.
my question is: the 3070 has 8gb max, will I suffer due to the 8 max or can I not compare this and is there more technical behind this card that will improve the faster and smoother flight.
I have steady 40+ fps but near airports its hanging or hickups or stuttering. its not all that bad but if I can make it better by this 3070 card. I know that some will tell me to go for the 3080 but that one is way to expenses.

Won’t get better. More than likely you are CPU limited. What CPU do you have?

At this point I would wait for the DX12 patch with XBOX release in late July before considering what hardware to upgrade.

Agree… and I could add the 30xx (I’d say go 3080 or 3080Ti) could be a good choice for the long run. Ray tracing cockpits will work far better than 1080Ti can do. Frame rate goes 2x for 3080… about 1.4x for 3070.

@Teenagebloom what’s your FpS ? please check if you have put a cap on FpS (General options / frame rate limit), else your GPU will fillup the available frames and always show 100% load. Cap at 30 and look again…

i have i9-11900 and have smooth 45 fps besides what I road regarding landing or just before.

I have a RTX3070 and it works great. I wanted a 3080, but had to settle. My CPU is a 10700K and the 3070 never let me down yet…it is the CPU optimization that limits this game, at the moment.

I have a 3080 and does great with a 10700KF very smooth.
I haven’t looked at the prices of the 30XX cards lately.

i am in now to buy but I dont know if i regret on the long run if I choose for 3080 or 3080TI.
any thoughts technical speaking.

I mean some people say there is not much diference between the 3080 and the 3080 ti regarding the flightsim of microsoft. I dont game I only use it for msfs.
so the 3080 is 400 euro cheaper than the TI. my last question is will I regret in the next few years if I buy the 3080 instead of the TI version.
