Have you removed all of the Alpha/Beta files? This may be the cause here.
Having the same message. I was not in the alpha or beta. I am in the Windows Insider programme, which seems like it could be the cause of the issue.
That is exact the same for me.
Youāre running a Windows 10 Insider Build? If yes, you need to roll back to a production build before the game will install.
How can I roll back to a production build? I have gone back to a previous version in the recovery section of settings, but it is still an insider build and causes the same problem. The āgo backā option is now āno longer available on this PCā.
I donāt understand why the Windows Insider Builds do not work with the release version of flightsim when the alpha and beta versions of FS2020 worked perfectly. Seems odd to cripple insider O/S builds on releaseā¦
Having exactly the same issue, alpha and beta worked fine for me too. Tried various different things but no work around and no communication from MSFS team or microsoft on a fixā¦ I am not prepared to reinstall windows as this pc is also required for workā¦
Why isnāt anyone from MSFS not addressing this issue? I have tried everything I could to launch this and get the same result every time. I also have the Windows Insider Build 20190. I do not want to reset my computer and lose things I have installed. Getting very frustrated here, thinking of going back to X-Planeā¦ hmmmm, thatās a thought. Come on MSFS get with the program.

Apparently, from reading elsewhere, going to take a new preview build of windows to fix so another 1 to 2 weeks, really?!?!?!
