Hoping Asobo has been quietly working their butts off with fixes and more things to be excited about than VR… which I’m happy for those who care, but I feel like there’s way more of us who don’t.
Anyways, fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow. Merry Christmas, I hope.

I hope due to VR they have done some CPU Optimisations. 
But I’m not hopeful.
I hope they will fix the DV20…
It’s a sim update, so there should be some pretty substantial additions. Live snow and ice are one of those things. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are others.
VR is included in the sim update. There will be substantial AP and avionics fixes I presume as well as some liveries and live snow+ice globally.
I hope they fix all the issues with planes, visuals like cars on runways while you are landing, lights at night that seem to be flying, all the stuff from this expensive Game.
There is so much they should have done before a VR release.

If by “pursing a populist agenda” you mean that they listened to user feedback (who overwhelmingly asked for VR support even though Asobo hadn’t even planned it), then no, I don’t hate them pursuing a populist agenda.
I’m hoping for multi-monitor…
That’s got a release date for 2021-22 so wont be in this update.
The drawback - by definition - with a, frankly ‘brute force’, number counting populist approach, is that it cannot account for the quality of the feedback or, indeed, the veracity of the person[s] who is/are giving it!
It is, for example, populist opinion that will tell you that Elvis is the pinnacle of musical culture! or that Bang and Olufsen make the best hifi’s!

I’m running 3 monitors, a center 21" and a 17" on each side. Sim is windowed, stretched to approx. 3000x1000. I then center it on my 21’, but it takes up about half of each side monitor. I use the left-over area to run VFRMap, LNM, Twitch, etc. Yes, it distorts a bit once it gets to the 17"s, but so does my peripheral. I tried head tracking, but IRL when I move my head to look left, I don’t look right to see what’s in the center.
asobo Optimisations means more downgrades to graphics so i am hoping there isnt any
I’m hoping they at least get the AI Control Aircraft feature usable again to a certain degree they did promise fixes for it one of them i was told was coming very soon the rest was coming next year
I’m hoping for (a) no new major, breaking bugs and (b) autopilot that works again.
Anything else is gravy on top of that.

This is the PERFECT time to run a partition or disk level backup.
We need to be able to restore if all goes south.
Clean up and Backup, that is my agenda for today.
Just a reminder everyone, considering what happened during the last upgrades.
I believe the most important is to empty the Community Folder before downloading the update, then when the sim is running okay for you add the stuff you want/need back gradually.
Make a note of all your settings NOW - every update has changed something in mine and I’ve spent hours chasing phantom “bugs” when all it was was a changed setting.
Remember that once it is released there will be 2 million gamers all trying to download it so it could take some time.(In the UK/Europe, the last updates happened sometime mid-afternoon if I remember correctly). This will also carry over to the next couple of days until everyone is caught up.
And finally PLEASE don’t start complaining on here when your hoped-for feature/update/correction hasn’t been done - remember Santa doesn’t bring ALL the toys at Christmas!
