Obviously, this is an issue with the MS Store version. Really wishing I had bought this via Steam right now, and if there’s any chance I can get a Steam code, I’d love having this game available from a store that actually lets me download my software and doesn’t forget what I have installed.
I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with the addons in my community folder.
Not using dev mode.
Issue is pretty much what the title says. Windows 10 deleted the game’s icon from my Start menu, and seems to think the game is no longer installed, despite there being 175GB of game files in the packages folder (not even counting my community add-ons). Both the MS Store and Xbox app (the latter of which I wish I didn’t need to get the game to start) throw errors when trying to reinstall.
Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Start computer, see game is missing, try to reinstall from MS Store or Xbox app, get error.
PC specs for those who want to assist (if not entered in your profile)
Not sure where to put these in the profile, so…
Ryzen 5 3600
Radeon RX 5600 XT
16GB DDR4
Game (used to be) installed on an M.2 SSD
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
No clue, but the game was fairly up to date. I was actually playing a few hours ago, before I rebooted to try and get what looked like an update to download.
Are you on the Steam or Microsoft Store version?
Why is this question in the template twice?
Did you submit this to Zendesk? If so, what is your ticket #?
Yes, request # 127538.
PS: Really hate it when Windows doesn’t let me delete a folder (namely, the Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.9.5.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe folder in WindowsApps).
