Winds in Knots

Calm down.

You’re mad about inconsistencies in a video game. If this truly makes or breaks or your experience then It’s kinda your problem.

You have a wonderful day

obviously you are mad because you’re using a bunch of exclamation points, bolded print and capital letters

Ah this is a video game? Not a flight simulator. My bad, I thought this was the next edition of FSX. But it isn’t. Ok sorry. Problem solved then  You can close this topic. #videogame

This isn’t 100% accurate.

Folks, let’s stay on-topic and remain respectful.

Well, it sure seems like it’s geared towards gamers more then simmers

And this is the fundamental problem with MSFS - Is it a game or a simulation, and how much should be a simulation of Real Life, and how much should be a game fantasy.

Trying to make it BOTH, does maximize the frustrated customer base !!

True  It’s quite frustrating that after 3-years, loads of fundamental issues with this game/sim exist. But anyway, this Hybrid-wind-in-m/s thingy will probably be fixed or ‘changed’ in MSFS 2024. I was about to transition to MSFS, I’m still ‘in between’ as too many problems or strange made-up-non-RL things exist in MSFS.

But 3 years ago, people were saying

But anyway, this Hybrid-wind-in-m/s thingy will “Probably” be fixed or ‘changed’ in MSFS 2020 - next systems update

And here we are 3 years later

This is currently by-design:

So, umm, why would wrong units be used “by design”? Any review of EASA standards will state Knots is the correct units for wind. That’s no excuse. Sorry. It’s a bug/ incorrect specification that should be changed. (Obviously I’m not blaming you. I just want to see this get into the backlog.)

I agree it is, but I can’t do anything about it. :frowning:

How are incorrect specifications handled? How do they get fixed if not through “Bug Reports”?

Bug reports yes
however since the previous one was closed “by-design” I can ask that it be reopened. Or can also use Zendesk as a bug report and hopefully it doesn’t get closed immediately as that means 2 things:

  1. They know about it and have a report on it.
  2. By-Design

But, I will ask (can’t guarantee it’ll get logged but I’ll do my part!)
