Windsocks 180° wrong direction

The windsocks are in the opposite direction and for the windmills the direction of the wind has no influence.

I’m surprised this has not gotten more attention. Windsocks consistently show the complete opposite direction of the true wind.

I was trying to learn crosswind takeoffs/landings, and thought I was doing something completely wrong. :rage:

Interesting occurrence here where rain streaks correctly represented wind direction, but windsock was pointed the wrong way. Wind reported by automated weather in sim as 076 deg at 37kts.

Was this a third party airfield?

I suspect this only happens with third party windsocks.

I confirm. When you edit the airport yourself and set the windsock, you need to turn it exactly 180 degrees! It is strange why the developers of the airports do not care about this moment.
