WinWing F18 HOTAS binding profile

Figured it out. Searching for “Pitch” doesn’t bring up the “Elevator Axis”. I needed to search for “Elevator” or for “axis” commands. And searching for “ailerons” rather than for “Roll” found the “Aileron Axis”. Stick works fine now.

Could someone share a binding profile for lazy people like me?

Old thread, but I’m totally new to MSFS and just purchased Winwing HOTAS Max. The controllers show up but nothing is bound. How do I start?

You will need to map everything in the config, one by one… Just start with the basic and add them as you go. Alternatively you can look in the SimAppPro app for profiles, but there wasn’t anything great last time I checked.

Thank you, I have started mapping.

My issue, and it is my newbie issue, has nothing to do with MSFS or Winwing. Being new to flight sims, HOTAS, and MSFS, I am not always sure what the binding is.

There is a 3-way flap switch on the throttle base. I have that set to retract, 10 degrees, and full. However, I can not complete one of the tutorials because I can not set the flaps to 20 degrees. F7 on the keyboard does not work as the switch overrides.

I ended up adding a 15.6 touch screen with Airmanager, that is a game changer

Unless the hardware specifically matches the aircraft there isn’t really a right or wrong for controls like this. Use whatever best suits the purpose.

It might be better to use a two-way momentary switch for flaps. Just bound to extend and retract.

You could duplicate the profile and change the flap bindings to get you through the tutorial.
