Winwing PFP3N help

Thanks. I have never managed to get a Mobiflight profile fully working for either device.

Has anybody had an issue where SimAppPro takes a lot longer to recognize your devices, and often won’t? Before, I could turn on my winwing devices and the app would recognize them almost right away. Now, it won’t populate the devices page and I usually have to restart my sim and then leave the app open for 5-10 minutes before the devices pop up and I can use them to operate the aircraft. If I switch aircraft, like from an A319 to an A320, the devices remain populated but then they don’t work and the “simulation initialization phase” never completes. I then have to restart the sim to use the devices in the new aircraft. This is happening on both 2020 and 2024 with pmdg 737 and fenix a320s. I also notice that if I disconnect or connect a WinWing device now while loaded in to an aircraft in both 2020 and 2024, the sim freezes and I have to force quit. None of these were happening last week and I made no changes except updating the app to .67. I’ve reverted to .55 and now .60 and .66 with the same exact problems.

Not something I have had, although I do not fly with the Scarebus using my WinWing hardware. Which WinWing devices do you have?

How are you connecting these devices? Is it direct to your PC or via a USB hub? Have you also checked the power options for these devices in Windows settings as Windows likes to think it is being helpful and often sets them to ‘switch’ off which can cause issues.

I have 4, both boeing and airbus autopilot panels and fms. They’re connected via usb hub and I’ve already switched the “USB selective suspend setting” to off. Are there more power options?

As a test, have you tried the devices independently without the hub?

In device manager go to Universal Serial Bus controllers and with everything plugged in, go through all the USB hub devices listed and where present, check the Power Management tab, and the make sure the option Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power is not ticked. It may not appear for all of the devices, so don’t worry if it is not there for everything.

If you are using SPAD I believe there is an option within this to ensure Windows does not shut down USB devices to save power. I am not a SPAD user so cannot advise on this though.

The WinWing software also advises that devices should be connected directly to your PC and not via a hub. I made sure I did this on first connection before connecting them to my USB powered hub. I also make sure they stay plug into the same port.

I hope this helps.
