Working mirrors for slingload operations (helicopters)

I don’t know of any flight simulators that have working mirrors set up to allow you to see the load on the sling. It would be great to have that feature. This would allow us to get a realistic function so that we could be less distracted when monitoring the load.

And, they are way too big, vote here: H125 Cargo Mirror Way Too Big

It’s always been a performance issue in flight sims. Mirrors eat frames…but it would be great if you have the hardware to handle it.

I find there nice but I still prefer to lean over and look down at the load, and I prefer left seat to right. The school where I train has a R44 with a hook. There’s a second set of gauges for the manifold pressure and rpm/rrpm tach on the left side by the collective.

Old DCS has working mirrors.

I was really hoping that FS2024 would finally get these, too.
Seems like they did not find a possibility to integrate them, in spite of some bigger changes on the game engine.
So we will be looking at these 90’s blurred fake-mirrors until FS2029 release I’m afraid :frowning:
Especially bad on small fighters/jets…
