Working Title G1000 Black Screen Fix

In case you do not want to or cannot use the G1000NXi mod but the legacy G1000 mod but experience the black screen bug, here is how to resolve it correctly (no dirty hacks).

Go to your Community folder and from there open these subfolders workingtitle-g1000 > html_ui > WorkingTitle > Pages > VCockpit > Instruments > NavSystems > AS1000 > MFD.

If you are in the correct subfolder you’ll see three files, AS1000_MFD.html, AS1000_MFD.js and mapConfig.json.

Open the AS1000_MFD.html with a text editor, Notepad is a good choice.

Press Ctrl+F, enter FileHandler into the search field and click search.

It will find only one entry. Close that search window.

Now simply delete that whole line FileHandler was part of and save the file.

Now your G1000 mod is fully working.

Good catch! I used comment tags around the line to keep it as a backup, but it does the same thing.

You can safely remove the line since the file it references is no longer used, I was told by a WT developer. But yeah, both works :slight_smile:

This really helped a lot with the DA40NG. Why doesn’t #working-title fix it permanently?

Because the G1000NXi is the mod to use. The G1000 is “obsolete”. But yes, for those who need the non-GXi variant, eg. for training it is a bummer.
