Working Title Joins Microsoft Flight Simulator Family - Announcement, FAQ & Twitch Segment

@MSFSRonS, unless you’re a member of the WT team or work for MS or Asobo, you don’t know that any more than I do. And frankly, I doubt those people even know that at this moment in time. It’s merely an idea that I personally endorse because I want the sim to appeal to the “flying game” (and by that, I mostly mean kiddos spending mommy and daddy’s money) demographic. If the sim is made too difficult to fly, especially from the perspective of a 12-year-old who just wants to jump in, start on the runway with an external view, firewall the throttle and just goof off flying who knows where, then that potentially creates a situation where you turn that demographic off from what they view as a “game”, which could end up in a lot of lost revenues.

It’s the same reason that I’d want the “default” 747 to remain a flyable option in the sim, even if, say, MS were to acquire PMDG and make their plane a default airliner.

But like I said, it’s just an idea that I personally like, and those in a position of authority over such things can take my idea or leave it. Other than putting it out there in the public square and hoping the right exec sees it and likes it, which I’ve now done several times, that’s all I can do about it.

But rest assured from the perspective of the demo I’m speaking of, they may as well be two different aircraft, even if they do look like the same thing from the outside.
