Has anyone figured out how to delete a photo placed in the ‘World Photography’ gallery?
I tried out the photo gallery but unsurprisingly the servers were borked, so my gallery now has a landscape photo barely loading in. I’m not interested in amassing a photo gallery I can’t edit & delete and I don’t see how to do it. I truly hope we’re not locked to the first photo that complies with the conditions.
I thought taking another photo of the landmark would replace it. No.
I tried deleting the photo from the photo album, that failed too. So, no.
Would deleting the sim’s entire save on Xbox work, or is this nonsense stuck in the cloud now? *
Shame I don’t get any credit for the photo of my magic carpet ride.
I just deleted the whole sim and all my save files everywhere. On reinstalling, of course my avatar, logbook and settings all gone (as I expected). But the hideous photo is still there!
A quick update to this. I deleted the sim entirely and my save files, both locally and in the cloud. Doing a full reinstall.
I flew back to the Cliffs of Dover and took I reckon a fine compliant photo in the hope that it would replace the hideous photo that is stuck in the listing. Sadly it does not. I’m hugely frustrated by this. Was the functionality of the Photographer mode tested for longer than 20 minutes?
Perhaps there should be a warning? - ‘whatever photo you take first you are stuck with’…
[I have a better photo, but how to replace the other one?]
When you go into your Photo Album I’m sure its the F key to delete. Just click on the dodgy picture and look on the UI at the bottom for the correct keystroke.
Thanks. I can (and did) delete it in the ‘Photo Album’ (and have since deleted and reinstalled the game and all save files) but it stubbornly remains in the ‘Landscapes of Europe Album’.
I can delete it from the Photo Album but not from the Collection. (nor can I replace it by taking a subsequent compliant photo).
Delete it direct from your filesystem. I found for myself (Steam version) is located “C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Screenshot” … see the thread Where are photographs stored - #4 by GodzoneVF for potential other locations…where would it be for xbox/how can you access that I have no idea, sorry… Good luck.
Thanks for your kind wishes. Yes, Xbox is tricky.
On the plus side, the stuttering was fixed by a restart, but I now have a second ropey photo I can’t remove. Completionists eh…
I reinstalled my game and lost my photos taken in the world photographer mode. If anyone has shared their World Photographer mode photos online or if you have your own collection that you’re willing to share, I would be incredibly grateful.
