But I don’t think density is the issue here. Indonesia has one of the most densely populated country, yet Bing Maps is outdated, no landmark being rendered, and just lacks of data. China is the most populous country, yet satellite imagery are currently outdated as well, possibly due to anti-satellite surveillance restrictions.
The data tends to be more accurate in North America and Europe. And possibly rightly so, I see a lot of flight simmers here are coming from Europe and North America, which is why I see a lot of people seeing multiplayer planes when they’re on Europe server. While me, an Indonesian living in Australia connected to SEA server barely see anyone online. So the market suggest the amount of detail of content, I guess. It doesn’t make business sense to improve data and send out a World Update South East Asia where 60% of the player base are just not interested in it, and only less than 1% of the playerbase would be appreciative.
