World Update II: USA incoming

This issue was mentioned many times. Mostly local network issues. Keywords: Teredo, NAT, FW, DS-LITE and delete rolling cache. Search for it in this forum.

P.S. It is always easy to blame others.

I’m not sure if you’re trying to help or attack me with that last comment.

Yes, I have followed most of the suggestions on here and over the course of weeks, I have dedicated multiple nights trying to resolve this because obviously, it’s working for some people. Mind you, I have lost full nights (I only get 1-2 hrs) trying the solutions you allude to. What would help greatly is if my zendesk reports get answered in constructive manner and someone technical works with me, or they have someone helping everyone together in these forums. If anything new comes up, I’ll probably try that too.

From where I’m sitting, I’ve done a lot to try to make this work and my system is above the recommended range.

I wonder where the most customers are from, current or prospective, that they want to keep happy?

What does this mean? Looks like that myself and others have special rigs (mine ~3 years old) Listen, without any facts like configs e.g DNS and all mentioned above, it’s just guessing. And I guess you have this issue in all PG Areas.

Well, since so many of the rivers and lakes are 100 feet higher than the surrounding ground, they made these buildings taller so that people could escape potential flooding. It’s therefore a feature that will be continued.

All I know is I’m not alone and it affects enough of us that there are already half a dozen things to try that works for some people, but not all. It’s in those forum threads you mentioned for me to search. I’ve been there.

Can I say no for your “help”? Thanks but no thanks. I don’t have to provide proof to be able to share my experience. I’ve provided that to zendesk.

Since you asked about Hawaii, I am assuming that you are located in this State.
NP, if I’m wrong. Just curious, have you noticed that the local time when setting the weather to “live” is off by 1 hour? Or is it just my set-up? I already reported it to the Zen desk, but it didn’t get fixed for me in the latest patch…

I will agree with you on the insults and disrespect. Don’t get me wrong I have a lot of hours logged, I have throughly enjoyed it. My favorite aircraft to fly is the Longitude and they broke it with this latest patch, I also play OnAir and now I can’t use the airplane for it.

I would just rather have a rollback on the patch, at least I could play.

Edit: nvm. Have a good day.

The issue is on your side, so that has nothing to do with US world update. It will not change until you have fixed your issue.

Great news! If it’s at the level of the detail of the Japan release, it will be amazing. I’m glad to see a plan for other world areas, too. As Asobo gets more proficient, and irons out the bugs and various issues, this should turn into an even more incredible experience. It’s a great time to be simming!

Have a good day.

Yeah well they need a USA update because what I see is a bunch of garbage.

So this black building is the “Washington monument” image|666x500

Yeah… about that world update…

Also there’s no White House or dome on the capital building… cmon man!!

I have to give them credit for their commitment to fixing issues and making huge improvements. Im glad they read everything, because they need to. A lot of other developers just hide in the shadows (Ivory Tower, The Crew 2) after their product is released sub-par. Now lets just give them some time to actually follow through. They talk a good game.

This was DEM data so they could just focus on the elevation data needed like for the Rockies. Possibly this could apply to textures as well but that wasn’t the context of what Jorg was saying. We’ll just have to wait and see what they produce!

There are 10,000 Washington monuments around the world who is to say one is more important than the other. This a world sim and Asobo only have a finite number of resources helping build POIs, cmon man do the math!!

There is already an excellent Washington DC update from Drzewiecki Design

If Okinawa is any indication, I wouldn’t expect it.

Wonder what airports are next in line to get for free?

If you are implying that they will redo several photogrammetry cities for the USA update in higher resolution and one of them will be San Diego then you are setting yourself up for failure… Let’s just wait and see what they produce but please don’t expect miracles.

It’s not San Fran… I’m assuming they’ll double back and double check they’re using the right photos for the right settings or at least investigate the issues… but yes, perhaps i should lower expectations. history says i should
