I’m broadly supportive of the product direction. There’s definitely a balance to strike between a study level flight simulator at one extreme, and virtual tourism at the other and I think it’s about right. You definitely need to squash bugs and address issues, arguably more so than currently, and they definitely need better QA, but I think the general direction is good.
My view is that world updates are essential to build interest in the sim, to keep existing users interested and to grow the users to reach more people. Catering for the more hardcore simmer would definitely benefit that subset in the short term, but I think it’s in everyone’s interest, including the hardcore simmer, to be patient, grow the user base, and build a critical mass for people who want a more study level sim experience. Then cater for them more directly. Lets also not forget that msfs already has a level of flight model realism that is more than good enough for the vast majority of users I’m sure. Fix bugs and solve really obvious issues with flight models yes, but I think other than that it’s going well personally.
