My real world experience never got beyond the joys of club airplanes … they were all like this!
Back in 2000, I did get invited to look round the Raytheon aircraft display at Farnborough (I think the sales guy was bored … there was no one else there at the time). I clearly remember the smell of the brand new Hawker jet - all electronics and fine leather. Very alluring!
New plane smell is like new car smell, but a thousand times better!
