It’s photogrammetry and its something in the way its rendered/loaded that is new with SU7. I did the same tests. Tried JFK/KPHX/KLAX. Any airport that is surrounded with photogrammetry will hammer your mainthread into the 40ms range. I’m running a 5900x/3080ti and its the exact same. Before SU7 I’d be 45-50fps sitting at the gate in the FBW 320 at KPHX. Now I’m 22-25fps exact same settings and mainthread up to the 40ish ms. However if I load into an airport, even a big one, that is not surrounded with photogrammetry, its back to basically pre SU7 numbers. It has to be a bug, and a big one at that. I love flying into photogrammetry airports.
