WOW! Just simply WOW!

When I banked from crosswind to getting into my final, that started the green feeling. And I almost felt like I was falling out of the air

If you’re going to right it off anyway, maybe you could carefully open it and see if there is anything obvious amiss.

Maybe there’s a “teardown” video that might show a way of safely opening the unit and which might give a clue as to what might be wrong.

At worst, you could always keep it as a potential source of spare parts for when you get a replacement.

Thanks for that tip, I’m defo interested. Right on with the Kingpin!!! I have The FTW3 Ultra. I was running +1000 mem and +130 core on the stock volts but had some ctds after the 1.14.5 update and run stock now (More than possible my OC was too aggresive for MSFS). It would get as high as 74 degrees celcius and i’ve seen the power usage as high as 119% in brief spikes. I use the stock bios too, just flip my fans on 100% before I go in. I’m Smartbomb on the Evga forums

EDIT: I have a gold rated1000W PSU, when I OC my 3090 in MSFS it gets quite warm. Stock, nice n cool

As for VR helping with the fear of heights…I started skydiving in the early 70s when I was in the Army (at Ft. Bragg skydiving is a very cheap hobby). I took flying lessons in a Cessna 150 Aerobat, which included ACTUAL spin training.

In an airplane or jumping out of one, heights don’t bother me. Put me on a ladder and my legs turn to rubber at about 8 feet off the ground.

Yesterday I had to get up on my roof. My legs still haven’t recovered.

My goodness, my poor gpu was getting rocked. It was solid red in dev mode. 24-27fps, might be why i was getting ill feeling. Have a mixture of high and ultra and it feels a tonne better. It was smooth but not the best fps at all. yikes. My gpu showed 36ms latency with my original settings. I’ve also started experimenting with reducing the render scale in oxr, i have it currently set at 80%. That was a wonderful tip.

That’s very different from your initial review, what am I missing :frowning:?

You may have better performance with Nvidia 457.30. I’ve tested every driver since then— all have huge stutter for me. I have an RTX 3090 and 10900KF CPU. Turn off Hardware Acceleration GPU Scheduling (HAGS) as well. Very smooth now.

Yes - good suggestion. It’s quite possible that the problem is something trivial that can be fixed. I’ll do some digging into it when I have some time.
