He said “could be 2024” implying it was 2020.
So how did he get 7 monitors to line up so well in 2020 ??

sure you can, just drop some settings, your best bet are objects and terrain lod sliders, ai/live/multiplayer traffic (especially if you have AIG/FSLTL running), and reducing / removing ground clutter (airport ground handling, cars on roads etc).
Could he be using a third-party software? From the radio chatter, I could tell that was third-party.
could just be listening in on live ATC broadcast, seemed like he was just enjoying a VFR flight in that rig ![]()
maybe just nvidia monitor spanning?
And obviously it’s 2020.
It’s pretty impressive performance, for sure, even with a 7950X3D and a 4090.
I know he said he’s frame limited to 30 FPS. I’m sure that helps.
Still…seven 4K monitors? Wow.
Frame generation at least. Frame generation + nVidia Super Resolution can bring a lot of performance for one system.
Where you getting that from. I had assumed that included all the instrument displays which are more likely just 1080.
Still impressive getting the outside views all at 4K though if that’s indeed what it is.
The gentleman did say that he was running all monitors at 4k. Only recording on OBS in 1080p.
Thx. I skip watched. I have my doubts that is in fact what the setup is. Could be he meant all the outside visuals or perhaps there is something else we don,t know. 7 x 4k at 30FPS on one regular machine doesn’t add up.
Nice setup though if you only fly the Boeing.
Been there, done that: I spent 15 years and plenty of cash building a 737 cockpit from scratch (back in the FS2004 days). Ended up using it for flying both the 737 and GA aircraft (the latter was of course weird with all those buttons and switches surrounding me).
My conclusions:
I agree with the others but not this. Immersive visuals but an absolute terrible immersion when it comes to using a mouse or VR controller, For that a hardware cockpit wins everytime,
You do have a point here, of course. Nothing beats turning real knobs…
Hopefully, haptic gloves come to the rescue one day ![]()
Nice set up, but it didn’t help him follow the centre line though did it ![]()
That’s probably what he was doing. The voices sounded like real people. ![]()
Some people are pretty hardcore with their cockpits. He’s obviously in Boeing, so that works for him. Personally, I prefer a little more variety in my flying and wouldn’t want to lock myself into a single airframe or category. But still, that’s a pretty epic setup he’s got.
There are several ways he could be doing that.
I have 7 monitors on my computer (5 are used by MSFS). I use the latter of those solutions for my setup.
Hmm, his video description says “…seven monitors with three of them being 4K.”
There’d be no reason to run 4K on the instrument screens and they likely don’t even support 4K at their size.
That would make a little more sense. I was wondering too, how all monitors could be 4k… ![]()
Yes, but the cool thing with his setup, is that he has found a way to splice together his cockpit view monitors , and get a good join, and good perspective geometry of those sliced together views.
When at the right distance and angles, you can get the main screens looking quite good and lined up. Many people do this even with smaller monitors and it works out great. But the key is getting the right distance from the eye to screen for correct field of view and getting the angles on the screens right for the most seamless transition.
I don’t yet have multiple main displays. My 4 extra sim screens are touch screens for Air Manager, plus a 50" TV as my main display. Once I get around to getting a dedicated sim computer, I plan to also add an extra 2 screens for the main sim display.
