Made the update in the Xbox app, says OK. When launching the game it shows the Iberia welcome screen. When searching for updates no results, then suddenly reverting back to welcome screen from Australia WU and loading the old version. Quite frustrating. Any hints?

Are you using MSStore, Steam or XBox?
Ms Store version
Go to MS Store.
Select your library and click get updates.
Then using the content manager, install same after downloading is complete.
MS Store is up to date. Says MSFS is fine. When in content manager in game Download not possible as the newest game version is required. So it is basically a loop
Try this:
From the Window’s Apps and Features menu, “reset” (advanced features) MSStore, Xbox App and Gaming Services.
Reboot PC and log into MS Store and Xbox App.
Try sim again.
