Anyway as far as Europe is concerned I don’t expect anything until later this evening as they probably roll out to servers around the world in stages to spread the network load.
Time to prepare. Empty Community folder etc
There’s no real need to empty the community folder anymore, I stopped doing that over a year ago.

Personal choice.
They still recommend it. Just a precaution, especially if you have a lot of stuff in there that might just have something conflicting.
As they have different servers for different regions - no.
That is what I was referring to. Just speculation anyway. I don’t work for them, so no idea what goes on.

They don’t recommend it. That’s a common misconception. They only say that if you’re experiencing issues post update you should start by emptying the community folder. This is mostly regarding addons that depend on hacks/quirks that might have been removed in an update. And only makes sense if you experience problems like game not loading or crashing, cameras messed up etc.
Technically there is 0 reason to do it. The updates don’t touch the “community” folder at all. The game downloads stuff into the “official” folder.

You might just as well reinstall Windows every time an update comes out. It’s similarly pointless

But deleting the Rolling Cache File and creating a new one is mandatory i think after every WU and SU.

Probably true and possibly only if you have flown in an area that was updated.
But best to just disable it completely. Contrary to expectation it actually improves performance when you don’t use it at all. Don’t ask me why, makes no sense, but it evidently minimizes stutters when completely disabled.

Really??? w.t.f… this is theoretically complete nonsense but also heard this somehwhere could not believe it…
Might try that out.
Maybe after a few hours has gone by and people in the forums are gathering their pitchforks and torches
