Yes, all along the river Thames

For what it’s worth, it doesn’t seem to make a difference if you are flying over the river or just sit there using drone camera to give it extra time to make sure everything is loaded

Not exclusive to the Thames. It’s apparent in other new cities too. Newport, Liverpool & less noticeable but the same in Cardiff. I’m yet to check out the other new cities.

I was really disappointed with the response on the development live stream when this was bought up. They basically said that it was due to the exclusion box round the bridge and if they didn’t have it the bridge would be underwater.
I’m annoyed because prior to WU17, the water was fine round the bridges etc, and the bridges weren’t underwater so this explanation cannot be true.
I know this is marked as bug logged, and so I think it will be resolved but can a forum moderator confirm please? The response on the developer stream seemed to indicate this might not be the case and it was clearly an issue introduced by the WU. Thank you!
Yes, I noticed that too. It wasn’t true, as drawing polygons doesn’t remove bridges. I had to verify this by trying it myself, and I found that simply drawing polygons and adding water textures fixes the issue. The water texture extends underneath the bridge without affecting it. This works on the new TIN only.
I went thorough and cleaned all the bridges and will upload them on flightsim.to.
Thank you! This is what really annoys me when they make throw away comments that are clearly incorrect! The Thames looked right prior to WU17, so this is something they have introduced and it’s such a shame as London now looks amazing apart from the river.
Forum moderators can you pass this onto the MS/Asobo team so it can be fixed ASAP?
It is logged as a bug so they should be aware.

What I tried to fix it and didnt helped:
-photogrammetry on_of_
-manual cache delete_
-rolling cache off
-clean direct x shaders
-update everything and install the new London update from yesterday

Any update on when a fix for this will be released? It’s really spoiling the beautiful new London. I also think it’s affecting more areas than just London
It’s is definitely affecting areas other than the Thames.
This solves the London problem for PC users at least…

Can we get an update on when this will be resolved please? It was logged over two months ago and seems to be a fundamental issue across the entire UK since the last UK world update. I can see the same effect in lots of places where there are bridges and water.
I realise FS2024 is taking a lot of the teams attention, but this is a huge error from Asobo that is ruining an otherwise amazing rendition of London.
It’s not just London. I’ve seen sandbars under bridges all over the world.
The update to the ORBX London City Pack fixes this beautifully. Worth getting for that alone if you want to fly around London but it adds so much more as well. (There is no way Asobo will fix it before MSFS2024)
I purchased the landmark pack from marketplace (as I was on Xbox at the time), so I am eagerly waiting for the update to drop on marketplace as I think you’re correct and this won’t be resolved by Asobo anytime soon.
