I have first updated the Microsoft Store before Booting the Simulator, Updated the ingame mandatory update also. Rebooted the sim… Now i get another update, but it seems to be reinstalling the Entire sumulator?
Sadly no. I just started the sim and was greeted by the normal “Mandatory” update concerning the Microsoft Store at first… as per usual mandatory updates. This is a first for myself as in… all of the previous updates never reinstalled the whole software.
If the update is asking you to redownload the whole sim (IE. 100gb+), navigate to C:\Users\yourusernamehere\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache for MS Store users and open UserCfg.opt file, scroll to the bottom and double check the directory noted after InstalledPackagesPath.
I am assuming it looks correct?
It is a headscratcher for sure, or maybe more of a headache, I will just let it do it’s thing at this point then, Thanks for replying anyway, to you all. I was just wondering if anyone else had this also is all. Regards
I believe it does seem to be “overwriting” each folder within the Official One Store… I just checked the timestamps of each aircraft etc in there, and it is todays date etc.
EDIT : Yep, i can say with some degree of certainty now, the last file (at the correct time, is indeed a part file(At the bottom), which is still installing to there.
Got the same problem. Next problem was that the sim did not see the community folder. So everything I put in de community folder, the sim did not see.
Now I’m installing the 179GB for the second time.
Very strange all together.
