WwiseLibPCx64P.dll (related to wbsim perhaps?) ctd, what is the file?

Does anyone know what addon or aircraft this file might belong to? I was in vr (pimax) and landed on a runway in the wbsim 172, suddenly received a ctd with this file noted in the error… ive never seen it before?

EDIT: just happened again going back to the main menu

Might be sound related. See the thread below.

Regards

Do you have Process Lasso or Razer Cortex software running? If so, try disabling/uninstalling these before launching MSFS as they are often the cause of this error.

MSstore version, seems to be related to the wbsim 172 only

No i dont, i just used the registry to make msfs run at high priority is all… i do have afterburner and slightly overclocked on the 4090

Ah ok, yes i do have the boris set.

ok i tried without the sound pack, at least with one try, no crash on going to the main menu… thats a tad disheartening then, if its the cause.

as far as the original 172 issue, if it were one, im not sure i ever modified that. I did install the g1000 realism mod, but that should be unrelated and it was disabled for the test.

I do have an issue with the Autopilot, toggle auto pilot and nav light will go out, you push it again and nav doesnt light up but it works, i posted about this in another thread, this is on the default or the wbsim, but thats a whole other issue i guess

yep seems that way

also surprised i cant find any threads with that ctd and boris at all, ill have to try a pure clean install with wbsim 172 + boris and see if it still occurs, betting it doesnt

EDIT: this time i cleared community (but left addons from content manager) and the ap issue still occurred, testing the crash next

Clean install with wbsim + boris 172 (verified 172 files), no ctd

The solution here was a nearby airport freeware addon to the airport i was taking off from, was causing the crash, took some trial and error to track down and remove but it did the trick.

if it’s an airport it may be a modellib.bgl bug
