I was under the impression that there is/was no wx radar in MSFS. However, it sure seems to be working in the Kuro B787. I base that on what I am seeing in the cockpit and what is reported at the destination Metars. What I see and what is reported is exactly what is showing up on the cockpit radar. Way cool.
You misunderstood. There is a weather radar in MSFS, and many of the stock planes use it. It’s available for third parties as well.
Some third parties decided not to use it though, because it lacked additional functionality they would like for their planes (I think the tilt/gain was one of the main complaints).
Okay, I wondered about that. Did MSFS not have WX radar at first?

I made a two hour flight in the Kuro B787-8 after the server problem, but don’t know about the WT update?
Before Sim Update 10, the WX radar was only exposed to JS instruments, so WASM instruments couldn’t use it.
The SU13 Beta was released yesterday with a really long list of changes affecting the 747-8 and 787-10. People are complaining that it’s not “SU13” so much as “AAU2.5” given the change list.
