X-59 nasa Lockheed skunkworks

So we have the new X-59. How long till we get in the sim

As soon as someone builds one in Blender and makes up an imaginary cockpit and conjures some fictional performance numbers, you can have one that may or may not be a decent representation.

If you want accuracy, well, you may have to wait. It hasn’t even left the ground yet (except maybe on a hoist for CG checks), so not even Lockheed/NASA knows what the performance will be yet. They probably have some numbers calculated based on design, but flight testing still need to verify those.

What?

NASA already provides a model for X-Plane 11 so they have provided a clear model of the plane performance and flight envelope. They said the X-plane11 is very close to the real figures.

So I guess we just need somebody to adapt a version for MSFS.

I don’t keep up with other platforms, so I was unaware of this. But it surprises me that NASA went with Laminar Research instead of allowing Lockheed to put it into P3D.

Either way, permission will need to be obtained for the conversion, and I suspect that won’t happen any time soon.

Man, I hope that it comes soon…
