Hiya pilots, have a X56 HOTAS, but the weird thing is, only in the DAHER TBM 930 the reverse thrust works. I’ve set up the throttle with the x56 software, on the ‘I’ button on the back of the throttle to ’ Toggle throttle reverse thrust’. I’ve programmed ‘ctrl+f6’ to this, so i actually use the keyboard to assign key combos ingame and then use the same ones on the throttle so i can use more knobs.
However… only in the TBM the reverse thrust works. It doesnt work in the beechcraft, it doesn work in the neo… both planes where you want to use reverse thrust. I think i am doing something wrong but what? I’ve been searching the internet for this past free monday evening, without even an inch of movement from the tarmac… i tried all thinkable key assignments but it keeps flipping, and only working in the Daher… its kinda ruining the simulation right now…
I even made a small movie of the problem, on the top, you see it working correctly… the bottom one is exactly the same buttons and movements in the neo but its trippin hard…
I also have this issue using the t flight hotas one using the neo reverse thrust does same thing as u. It worked prior to latest su7 but now I’m unable to fly any plane that requires reverse thrust. I cleared the button mapping the tryed to re scan same button to map to reverse thrust but it didn’t work either. Game is now unplayable as I only fly in the neo.
Why not use the Slider on the HOTAS throttle to engage the reverse thrust?
When I use my X56, I bound the HOLD REVERSE THRUST command to the Slider On Press.
So when I land, I pull back the throttle to IDLE, touchdown. use the slider to engage the reverse thrust. Then I push the throttle forward to increase the reverse thrust power.
Once I’m done, I pull back the throttle to IDLE, use the slider to disengage the reverse thrust, then I would be on forward thrust again.
as not normal way of reverse present best way is bind button on throttle not for reverse but for throttle back(f2 default for keyboard), when your throttle lever at idle position press the button and reverse start to grow, when you don’t need it any more, just depress button, and push throttle forward just a little for back to idle, it’s more intuitive and not annoying by freaking way implementation by thrust button
p.s. or i guess fsuipc addon can do normal reverse as it does for fsx/p3d, i don’t sure, but i think new version do it so well as before
glenn, rather than be snarky just say “it’s a bug” or something half useful because the search on this forum full of noise. represent your country with some self respect. the community will be better off this way.
Confirm! Reverse thrust worked by pushing simultaneously assigned button and levellers forward. After last update combination doesn’t works. Assigned a button as - (minus) thrust and push it in 0-level thrust. Flying on Asobo A320NEO Xbox version.
Thanks for your lenghty reply Neo! Maybe this works for me as well, gonna have a look at it. Shifts are finally over so time for some flying I hope! Also thanks @BlackPilot4570, i need to start reassigning some buttons.
