XBone Rudder Axis

Since we’re in the midst of the Great Flightstick Shortage of 2020, I’m using an XBone controller from my couch. For some reason the default rudder action on the Z axis (triggers) is set to digital left/right rudder and not the analog rudder axis- which makes the rudder completely useless.

If you attempt to change it to rudder axis, the sim doesn’t recognize Z as an axis. As a workaround, I’ve set rudder to the right stick, which works great except that it breaks all the cameras.

Am I missing something, or is this a poor implementation? This works fine in other flight games.
