I have a Asus ROG Ally (it’s essentially a gaming pc - runs the sim beautifully) and apparently it’s been a really long time since I’ve had a gaming pc setup.
The sim runs great on it as far as my mouse, keyboard etc, work fine but what I’m confused on, is my Xbox Elite 2 controller works and somehow my settings from xbox ported over (I guess through my sim account) but I had mapped the LB plus directional from the right stick to slide the camera left and right. I also mapped the LB plus LT & RT to raise and lower the camera horizontally.
But now it doesn’t work, even tried going in to the settings that came over and tried to rebind the commands but they don’t work.
For reasons unknown, the Elite Series 2 controller is recognized as both an Xbox controller and a keyboard; a standard Xbox controller is not.
I had noted on my Xbox that if the sim recognized my controller first, before my keyboard, that my keyboard wouldn’t work.
I’m wondering if this is what is going on with your set up. I’d try something as simple as unplugging your keyboard and launching the sim with just your mouse and your Xbox controller and see if you are able to make those custom functions work.
When I switched to PC, I left my Series 2 to use with my Xbox and use the standard Xbox controller with the PC and don’t have any issues with it and my custom Xbox controller mappings.
Anyhow, start there. You could also try pairing the stock Xbox controller to the PC (leaving the Series 2 off) and see if that works, too. If you try this, don’t forget to quit and relaunch the sim, just to ensure the Series 2 is truly not a part of the situation.
Thats kind of what I started thinking. Thanks, since I don’t have my Xbox anymore, I’m thinking I’ll just trade it on a light standard controller.

Edit: Thank you so much! You were right. On my lunch break and I disconnected the dongle for the keyboard and the controller worked perfect. So I’ll be picking up a standard controller this weeked because Ive noticed issues with one of my other games i just tested this on. Didnt realize it affected that game as well until I tried using a command that conflicted the controller and the keyboard.
